This course highlights both Laparoscopic and Robotic approaches to TAMIS. Utilizing a strong practice focus, this course will include anatomical, clinical, and surgical lectures, excised animate dissection with hands-on training led by a group of world-renowned surgeons.

The excised animate dissection portion of the course focuses on the robotic and laparoscopic technical aspects for the safe and successful implementation of partial and full thickness transanal resection with closure. The didactic experience provides lectures on proper patient selection and indications, operating room setup, patient positioning, anesthesia, and principles of safe transanal insufflation for both traditional and robotic TAMIS. The course also offers procedural recordings with round table faculty and attendee discussions.
