Course Description:

This Advanced Transoral Surgery (TORS) Course trains the surgeons who have already completed the Intuitive Surgical Technical Training Course or another 3rd party basic course on the da Vinci Surgical Platform. The course trains surgeons in Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), focusing on treatment for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Course Objectives:

· Identify the proper patient candidates for Transoral Robotic Surgery OSA surgery.

· Demonstrate the proper positioning & robot docking for the Transoral Robotic Surgery OSA patient.

· Employ the proper robotic surgical technique in the following procedures: Hypopharyngeal Dissection, Supraglottoplasty, and Laryngectomy.
