Course Overview
Course Objectives:
- Identify the proper patient candidates for Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS).
- Demonstrate the proper positioning & robot docking for the Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) patient.
- Employ the proper robotic surgical technique in the following procedures; radical tonsillectomy, partial glossectomy, and supraglottic laryngectomy on a cadaveric model.
Course Description:
This Advanced Transoral Surgery (TORS) Course trains the surgeons who have already completed the Intuitive Surgical Technical Training Course or another 3rd party basic course on the daVinci Surgical Platform. The content of this TORS Course will focus on the safe treatment of patients with upper aerodigestive benign and malignant disease.
