Current data suggests there are roughly 1.2 million abdominal hernia repairs in the United States each year with approximately 800,000 of those being inguinal repairs. The MIS approach to inguinal & femoral herniorrhaphy has demonstrated significant clinical benefit through reduced hospital length of stay, reduction in postoperative pain scores, decreased wound morbidity, and earlier return to work.
Utilizing a strong practical focus, this course will include anatomical, clinical and surgical oriented lectures, anatomical dissection with hands-on supervision and clinical case discussions to consolidate learning objectives.
